Florian Helgath extends tenure with Chorwerk Ruhr until 2026

Florian Helgath will lead the CHORWERK RUHR into the future for another three years. He will remain associated with one of the most important chamber choirs in the German-speaking world as artistic director until October 2026.

Born in Regensburg, the 43-year-old quickly established himself as one of the leading choral conductors of the younger generation and has been instrumental in shaping the successful work of CHORWERK RUHR since 2011. Florian Helgath sees his work as an exploration of new choral music that refers to traditional forms of music and thus enables the audience to have an extended artistic experience of the rich history of music.
